Oh boy!

Wow! can it be that the glitch I was experiencing is over?? I can blog again? Oh boy!

retro mercury

Mercury is in retrograde, a time that is great for going over work already done, and sorting out old stuff, reuniting with old friends, etc. SO, I am having a blast with old paintings that I never completed because of one reason or another. The energy has changed and ideas come about how to change it up, and renew my enthusiasm for the painting. I have worked on 3 paintings today, attended a basketball game, sorted gobs of old papers and bills, visited my tax lady (twice), went out to eat (twice), returned something to a store (2 things), bought something else at a store (twice). So much for mercury retrograde being a pain in the neck. I kind of like it!

Inspiration returns

Inspiration returns. It seems that I should decide on a style, and paint a bunch of paintings in that style. Well, I can't seem to do that. As soon as I think I have it, I paint something totally different. The hardest part of creating art for me, is to KEEP no preconcieved ideas, and not to resist what comes when you don't know what it is. The inspiration goes if I do not!

I love knowledge

Everybody is always talking about what they know. Don’t get me wrong; I love knowledge, and it inspires me to paint, but I thirst for knowledge of things we do not know for sure. Or the things that are there that we cannot see, or what might be there if we could see through what we know, and the things we may never know. Ideas, feelings, interactions, connections, choices, attitudes, spirits, possibilities ………..these are the juice of life for me. Maybe it will lead me to the themes that I will paint.

There is a time for everything. It is not difficult to know what it is time for. For me, it is a matter of stopping to think about it. The only problem is when I do not like what it is time for.

inspiration for artists

I am an artist, and am always open to new forms of inspiration. Color, music, and connections with others inspire me. Movies usually do not do the trick for me, but now I have seen one that inspires me! It is called 'once', it is classified in the Independent categorie. Beautiful movie, I cannot wait to paint it!!!
